Antonius Roberts is a celebrated Bahamian Master Artist born in 1958. He earned a BFA in Painting from the Philadelphia College of Art in 1981. Raised in Nassau, his art reflects his deep connection to the history and community of The Bahamas. Throughout his career, Roberts has been an advocate for Bahamian culture and has contributed to the development of the local art scene. He founded the Bahamian Art Gallery in 1991 and was the Curator of The Central Bank of The Bahamas Art Gallery until 2017.

Roberts is known for his Sacred Space series, a transformative body of work that explores themes of enslavement and heritage, with installations at significant sites in The Bahamas and abroad, including at Atlantis, Paradise Island. His work has been exhibited worldwide, from China to the USA, and his influence continues through his mentorship of young artists. In 2012, Roberts restored a historic building, now Hillside House Studio & Gallery, and in 2019, he founded Project I.C.E., providing a haven for emerging artists.

Roberts' contributions have earned him numerous accolades, including the Cacique Award for the Arts and an O.B.E. in 2017. His artistic journey combines a passion for conservation, heritage, and the spiritual, shaping the future of Bahamian art.

We provide all the art supplies, art instructor, wine, water and 2 hours of poses by the model.

Our live model—clothed or nude, depending on their comfort—will hold a series of dynamic and elegant poses for you to capture on paper.

A minimum of 5 participants is required for the session. If this minimum is not met, we will notify you of any cancellations.
