Unleash your inner artist the last Thursday of the month. We provide a relaxed and inclusive environment for sketching live models. Whether you're a seasoned artist or a beginner, figure drawing welcomes all skill levels.

Explore the beauty of the human form, deepen your understanding of anatomy, and enhance your artistic observation skills.

Navarro Newton

  • Born in New Providence and raised on the island of Andros, Navarro Newton fell in love with nature and the creative arts at a young age. In 2013 he began his formal education in Visual Arts at the College of the Bahamas. He was then awarded the ‘Popop Junior Residency Prize’ in 2016, which led to his first solo show called ‘Metanoia’ (2017). His second solo exhibition, ‘Synesthesia,’ was hosted by The Current Gallery & Art Center at Baha Mar in 2020, followed by ‘Channeling Kronos: Existence’ in 2021. In 2023, Newton exhibited another another solo show called ‘Narcissus’ at ICE Bahamas.

    Newton’s creative practice is informed by the potential of a medium to create subtle nuances in opacity and texture. The work builds a narrative from shapes suggested by the movement of media on a surface, directed through incidental and imagined compositions. Newton continues to create work based on theories of existence and time.

    We provide all the art supplies, art instructor, wine, water and 2 hours of poses by the model.

    Our live model—clothed or nude, depending on their comfort—will hold a series of dynamic and elegant poses for you to capture on paper.

    A minimum of 5 participants is required for the session. If this minimum is not met, we will notify you of any cancellations.
