Garnette Mills vividly remembers waking up early as she spent time assisting her grand mother in baking pastries for the community of Little Abaco. Her love for baking came naturally and what started as a hobby became her passion.

In February 2019 on a leap of faith, Popalicious was launched not only providing traditional cakes and cupcakes but unique modern pastries products such as donuts on a stick, macarons, sugared colored pretzels and gourmet covered strawberries. 

That same year Garnette and her family became victims of Hurricane Dorian losing everything including her home and business. As the hurricane left the island of Abaco uninhabitable she relocated to Nassau for a fresh start. Soon after the Covid-19 pandemic hit The Bahamas leaving so much uncertainty among businesses. In not giving up and being very determined, Popalcious was relaunched and thrived through some of the most challenging times in her country economically.

Garnette is the proud mother to Montrel and Rhianna and an active officer of The Royal Bahamas Police Force.

We’ll be decorating a 4” vanilla bean cake with vanilla buttercream filling. We’ll provide plenty of decorations, aprons, and everything you need—just show up and have fun!
