Character Illustration with Tay

Have you ever admired the characters on book covers, in cartoons, or comics and wondered how they come to life? This workshop is your chance to dive into the art of character building and digital illustration. Tay will guide you through the creative process, helping you bring your unique ideas to life with confidence and style.

  • Tay Marie Higgs is a Bahamian illustrator and small business owner specializing in handmade jewelry. She graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) with a BFA in Illustration (2022) and served as the Vice President of the Illustration Society during her time there.

Her professional skills focus on imaginative thinking, creating pieces that bring life to their surrounding spaces. Her work often explores themes that transcend reality and reignite the inner child, ranging from fantasy concepts to trippy scenes and portraits.
